Weather Woes and Legoland Delights: A Repeat Adventure in August

The past few days have been consistently wet, with rain falling every hour and just a little bit of sunshine peeking through the clouds. It’s already August, but it still doesn’t feel like Summer.

My son has been eagerly anticipating a getaway from our home, whether it be through travel or simply a few days of relaxation. Unfortunately, due to work and other commitments, I wasn’t able to book a proper holiday.

However, I did come up with a solution - revisiting Legoland. Yes, we went last year during the summer break, but I don’t think it’s a crime to go again.

We had a great time during our previous visit, but there were still plenty of fun activities we didn’t have a chance to explore fully.

So, this year, I reached out to a few friends to accompany us, but most of them had prior engagements.

As a result, I decided to call my cousin instead. Fortunately, she agreed to join us, and we proceeded to book the tickets.

On this beautiful Tuesday morning, we woke up bright and early, ready to embark on our adventure.

After making some prior arrangements and checking the weather forecast, which predicted more sunshine and only a little bit of cloudiness, we headed to Becontree station.

From there, we hopped on a district line train to White Chapel. At White Chapel, we boarded a train going to Reading but got off at Slough, where we planned to meet up with our company - Jesse, Lizzy, Eri, and their mom. To our delight, halfway through the journey, we realized that my cousins were on the same train as us.

Needless to say, my son was overjoyed and filled with anticipation. Upon arriving at Legoland Windsor, we proceeded to check in at the entrance. As soon as we entered, our exploration of the park began.

The memories of our previous visit continue to shine brightly in his mind. The sheer excitement and wonder on Oreoluwa, my son’s face as he explored the various attractions and rides were priceless.

From the thrilling roller coasters to the intricate Lego sculptures, every corner of the park was a treasure trove of adventure.

One activity that particularly captivated me was the stage play we witnessed called "Return to Skeleton Bay." This pirate-themed show featured thrilling acrobatics and swashbuckling swordplay that entertained the entire family. The performance took place on a stage situated within a large pool-like area, surrounded by an enthusiastic crowd. Lasting around 20 minutes, the show was truly enjoyable.

Additionally, we embarked on the Ninja Ride and the deep-sea submarine adventure, both of which made us feel like we were actually immersed in the real scene.

My son especially loved the watersplash and enthusiastically participated in various other activities throughout the day. The excitement continued until 6 p.m., when we decided to conclude our visit. It was an unforgettable experience for the entire family.

As we bid farewell to Legoland, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the wonderful memories we’ve created. We depart with a promise to return once more, knowing that this incredible place will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
